Pricing for Electrical Drawings in Manchester

Simple and honest: a fixed quote agreed before any work starts. No hourly meters running, no surprise extras.

How it works: you send your plans or sketches, we reply with a fixed price for the drawing set. You approve it, we draw. The price we quote is the price you pay for the agreed scope.

What affects the price

Every project is quoted individually, but these are the factors that move the price:

  • Size of the project — floor area and number of rooms or areas to be drawn
  • Number and type of drawings — a layout set costs more than a single consumer unit schedule; solar + battery systems involve more design than a straightforward layout
  • Quality of your starting information — dimensioned architect plans are quicker to work from than rough sketches (though both are fine)
  • Complexity — zoned lighting scenes, multiple distribution boards and commercial elements add design time
  • Revisions — the quote covers the agreed scope; if plans change afterwards, revisions are quoted separately before we do them

What is always included

  • Drawings prepared to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 with standard UK electrical symbols
  • Print-ready PDF files for site, submission and records
  • Editable DWG (AutoCAD) files for markups and future changes
  • A fixed price confirmed in writing before work begins

What is never included

We are a design and drafting studio. The price covers drawings only — not electrical installation, testing, certification or site visits. Installation and certification must be carried out by a registered electrician under Part P.

Pricing questions

Why is there no fixed price list?

Because no two projects are the same. A single-room lighting plan and a whole-house rewire package are different jobs, and a price list would either overcharge small jobs or underprice large ones. A fixed quote per project is fairer — and it costs nothing to ask.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. Send your plans or sketches through the contact page and we reply with a fixed price for the drawing work. There is no obligation to proceed.

What is included in the quoted price?

The agreed drawing set as print-ready PDFs, plus editable DWG files, prepared to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 with standard UK symbols. Anything beyond the agreed scope — extra areas, extra drawing types — is quoted separately before we do it.
