What we are
Electrical Drawings UK is a specialist studio that does one thing: electrical drawings for Manchester and Greater Manchester. We are led by an electrical engineer, which means your drawings are prepared by someone who understands how installations are actually wired, protected and certified in the UK — not just how to operate CAD software.
We work with homeowners planning self-builds, extensions and renovations, and with electricians, builders and architects who need reliable CAD support without hiring in-house.
How we work
- You send your informationFloor plans, architect drawings, sketches with measurements, site photos — whatever describes the project.
- We confirm a fixed quoteNo hourly billing and no surprises: the price for the agreed drawing set is confirmed before any work starts.
- An engineer prepares your drawingsDrawings are produced to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 — the current UK wiring regulations — with standard UK symbols and clear labelling.
- You receive PDF + DWGPrint-ready PDFs for site, submission and records, plus editable DWG files for markups and future changes.
What we do — and what we don't
We do: electrical layouts, lighting designs, consumer unit schedules, as-fitted records, single-line diagrams, and EV and solar/battery layouts — the full documentation around a domestic or small-commercial electrical installation.
What we don't do
We do not carry out electrical installation, testing, inspection or certification, and we do not claim membership of any installer accreditation scheme. Installation and certification must be carried out by a registered electrician in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations. We also do not provide stamped or certified engineering designs.
Where we work
Our Phase 1 service area is Greater Manchester: Manchester itself plus Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Oldham and Bolton. All drawing work is prepared remotely from your plans, so the process is identical wherever you are in the region.
